Winter at the KOA

We have just completed our first week of work here in NC. This is a great campground, one of the top 5 KOA's in the country. It is currently undergoing a big expansion almost doubling in campsites, adding another pool, etc. Because of where this KOA is located on I95, it is a popular overnighter for those going south for the winter and then going back home north in the spring. We haven't really had any snow since we arrived on Feb. 1 but I have a feeling there will be more this winter. There is always something going on. We are having a Valentine's dinner Monday night in the rec hall. And several rallys are scheduled here this year.

Workamping hasn't had any surprises for us. We basically knew what to expect and we are enjoying it! Dale is spending most of his work time outdoors while I am inside the office. The best part is the people. Because of Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville, we have several "monthlies" who live here fulltime, sometimes for a year or more. We are getting to know the regulars and it's always fun talking to those who pull in just for the night. I am really looking forward to some warmer weather! This place will be hopping even more then!
